I’ve transitioned into being a “mocktail girlie” over the past couple of years, and I must admit that I’ve lost my desire for a glass of wine. Making self-care a top priority has led me to find just as much joy in a well-crafted mocktail as I once did in alcoholic beverages, minus the sluggish feeling the next morning. After a long and challenging day, when I used to head out for a glass of full-bodied red, I now turn to my trusty “Sleepy Girl Mocktail” to help me unwind. It’s become a cherished part of my daily routine, and I genuinely get immense joy from it.

What’s great about this mocktail is once you’ve got the hang of making it, you can easily eyeball the ingredients. Through experimentation with various sweeteners, bitters, and herbal teas, I’ve found that this particular concoction is my absolute favorite. I make it every day, sometimes even a second glass. The key to its success is ensuring that you use pure cherry juice (not from concentrate) and freshly squeezed lime juice. I like to garnish it with a lime slice to add a touch of cuteness to my evening ritual. I encourage you to try it without any added sweeteners first, as you might find, like I did, that it’s the perfect blend of flavors on its own. Cheers to self-care and the joy of a daily ritual that helps us unwind and find peace in the moment! Don’t forget to take pictures of your delish mocktail creations and tag @roxiecappell. Can’t wait to see your version of self care that you paired with your mocktail!
